On concrete with heavy organic growth — moss, algae, lichen — soft wash treatment kills the organism first. This is more effective than pressure alone, which blasts the visible growth but leaves the root structure behind.
On stained or sealed concrete, high pressure can damage the sealer. Treatment at low pressure followed by gentle rinsing preserves the surface while removing the growth.
